About Us & Teams
Shuswap VC is a youth volleyball club based in Salmon Arm, BC.
We aim to grow the sport in the Shuswap at an affordable rate! Our mission is to provide volleyball training and development programs for young athletes in a positive and supportive environment.

Armin Hosseini
Co-Founder & Head of Coaching
Armin spent two years playing post-secondary volleyball at Capilano University. During that period, his team achieved the title of PacWest provincial champions, and he ranked among the top 3 blockers in Canada at the college level.
Armin has a passion for volleyball and growing the game in the Shuswap!
Jonny Koch
Co-founder & President
Jon is a Physical Educator and a former Athletic Director within SD83. He also has a bachelors degree in Kinesiology for Physical Education.
Amongst other sports, Jon has been coaching volleyball off and on since 2010. He is passionate about all things sport and loves to create opportunities for physical activity.
Erik Kok
Vice President
Erik Kok, grew up in Fort St. John where he was captain of the North Peace Senior secondary school team that achieved 6th place at AAA provincials. He went on to play College Volleyball at the University College of the Cariboo (now TRU). In 1996 he played for Team BC on the team that won a silver medal at the Canada Games in Brandon Manitoba.
Since then he has played on numerous club teams in Vancouver, Edmonton and Ft. St. John. Now in addition to sitting on the Board of the SVC he has been a participant of the Salmon Arm Rec Volleyball league since 2012.
Jenny Henderson
Vice President
Jenny has been a lover of volleyball for over 3 decades. She grew up in Salmon Arm where she played on the local high school teams. During this time, she also proudly played for team BC before progressing to play during her post secondary education at what is now UBCOkanagan. During her post secondary experience, she received BCCAA 1-st All Star each year she played as well as league MVP. Upon returning to Salmon Arm to raise her own family, Jenny has been a coach locally for over the past decade. She has coached both at the AAAA level for female school sport and AAA level for male school sport. Jenny continues to play volleyball recreationally and is so thrilled that Salmon Arm now has their own club program for youth.
